I heard that we have to provide all the address where we stayed in USA for filing I485. But very first time I came to USA almost 6-7 years back for short term and I do not remeber the actual address. Basically i do not remeber very first two address when I came here for short term. Is it a matter of concern.

My I140 is approved and I am a July07 filer of 485. In July08 I moved to self-employment after consulting a good lawyer. Now my previous employer withdrawn I 140 and today I got 485 denial notice. I didnot filed AC21 as lawyer told it is optional.. :mad:

va_dude, your concerns are understandable. This issue is real and some IV members got affected by this and came forward to provide some more info. pd_recapturing collected that info. A bunch of volunteers are working in the background to move this forward with concrete proof. In the meantime its important to keep sending letters so they know the concern its raising.

USCIS has to work in FIFO process not RIRO(Random In Random Out)... So they can't send Receipt Notice to Aug 17th filer and then look for July 2nd filer. I sent my concern to congressmen?

I fully agree that USCIS should work FIFO, but "should" does not make that happen. Clearly USCIS is not equipped for FIFI when truck loads of applications arrive. We may complain now, but I believe we should give them additional 10 days they need (to make it 90 days). I am equally worried about my July 2 filing. Nevertheless, I wish and hope the congressman's intervention helps.

Before you file the law suit consider this,
The system is designed to get GC faster to the smarter (EB1, EB2, EB3 etc) or the rich (Investor). Sometimes circumstances decide in which queue you start the journey, Employer, attorney, how many days left in h1b etc, etc, etc
I do not like to jump queues and resent people who jump queues. But these are the people who look for opportunities and exploit them. These are the smart ones.
System favors people who are skilled (higher the better), By finding (new Labor, new I140) and using an opportunity these people have proved that they are worthy of the faster queue (eb3 to eb2, eb2 to eb1 etc).
What is wrong in rewarding the hardworking smart person with the original PD. After all that PD was established for that person(thank god LC sub is gone). That is the day an employer decided to sponsor GC for that person.

Quick question.
IV has asked for 2 copies, one to the President and one to IV. Couple of questions on that.
1) Does the letter addressed to the President need to be in a seperate stamped envelope?
2) What is the reason behind 2 copies?
eb3_Nepa, definitely the letter to the President has to be in a separate stamped envelope and hand written is preferable.
Reason behind 2 copies is that IV also want to collect the copies of all the letters sent out to the President. So that when we talk to the administration, we can show them how many folks are being affected because of this GC retrogressions.

Hi,
My company's attorney filed for my PERM and I-140. After I-140 approval the attorney kept the original I-140 and sent me the courtesy copy of the approval. I am now going to file for my I-485 on my own.
My question is -
Can I make a photocopy of the courtesy copy of this I-140 approval and use it to file my I-485?
P.S: Courtesy copy is NOT the photocopy of the original I-140. It is a copy that USCIS sends in addition to the orinial approval.

I have a WAC number and petition approved in Feb 07. Stuck here for 1 month, 18 days and counting. I called DOS and didn't receive a positive response. Will try calling KCC tomorrow.

We don't whitewash what happened unlike what your compatriots are trying to do here, when someone brings up corruption in India. I cited surveys by international agencies that make comparisons that consider a number of factors, not by anecdotal evidence based on a few high profile news stories.

My PD is current. I have opted for CP when my I-140 was filed. Can I file 485 now?. Do I need to file any papers with NVC/CIS to transfer from CP to 485?.

Vonage does work with a home security system, but they do no recommend using it for that purpose because then your security system is dependent on the internet to make the call out during an emergency.
